Hey Guys,

So I saw some photos on American Muscle when browsing the submitted photos section, and I saw that some people placed what looks like is wiring in the trim. They stuck it in the small gap around the dash and it looked pretty good. I was wondering if anyone knew what material this was ?

Thanks

I see it on Ebay. It's like cording and has a thin tab along the cording that slips in the slot between panels. Looks pretty easy to install.

if you do a search for "Welt Trim" or "Welt Piping" on ebay, you will have find different colors and sizes available. I have added some to my car. If you contact the sellers directly, most of them can send you a small sample so you can see how it would look in your car. I probably had like 12 samples before I made a decision

don't have any pictures at this moment. I couldn't find a color I wanted or come close to brush aluminum/satin silver. With some of the samples I had, I actually painted it to see how it held up and looked with the interior. Eventually I got some Eastwood silver metallic interior trim paint and it held up pretty good on the trim. Bent it like crazy in multiple directions to see if the paint would flake off and it didn't. Some other paints I tried flaked off after one bend.
