Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get a 2015 Ecoboost with the 100A package. As I'm building it on the Ford website, there is an option under the Accessories page for an "Interior Lighting Kit". Doesn't really show the Mustang interior on the sample picture though. And when I build an Ecoboost with the 200A package, the Interior Lighting Kit is not an available option in the Accessories page, which leads me to believe it is standard on that package.

Would anyone have a photos of their interior with and without the lighting kit? I just want to know the difference on how it looks because for the extra $250, it seems like a nice choice for something that could make the interior a bit nicer.

I've tried searching threads about this, but didn't really find much. If anyone can link me to some appropriate threads, I'd appreciate it.

Also, if I posted this on the wrong forum, mods please feel free to relocated this where it needs to be.

Thanks!

Thank you! Those options seem like a good deal for the $250 that they cost. Hopefully it is available for the 100A package since the rep at the dealership can't seem to add that option.

Thank you for this- I found a video saying with one of the guys saying this is only on the premium models? That kinda sucks. It's weird how the Ford site lets you choose it on the Accessories page though. But I will visit the dealer and get the facts right.

The interior lighting kit is just an set of LED strips that illuminate the footwells, and is a dealer installed add-on. It does not add the full ambient lighting setup to a base GT.

Ford is being very ambiguous with the ambient lighting descriptions. From what I can tell there is ambient lighting in the GT premium right from the factory that has the lighting in the footwells, cup holder and either door handles or map pockets. It is controlled through the MFT and/or the gauge cluster center display.

The Ecoboost does not seem to have that factory option but does offer a dealer install option that is similar but not the same. It looks like they install it and it only has lights in the cup holder and footwells, no door lights. It also does not say how the lighting is controlled. It also appears that from the website building of a vehicle that you can only order this dealer install option if you purchase a non-premium ecoboost. I see that as an error and most likely the dealer can put that in any Mustang. I checked the V6 build and it is also offered there.

Is it possible that factory ambient lighting comes with an ecoboost premium (just like the GT premium) and it's just not being shown in the premium description??? Anyone?

i guess your knowledge is pretty less in this case .... EB premium and GT premium all have same interior lightnings.. i have lights all way in footwells, doors,, blah blah and are controlled by MFT...

But yes the 250$ thing we are talking abt here,,, might not be same as the ones we get in premium models.. those 250$ ones are basic.. leds in cupholders and footwells.. no doors or sill..

but yeaa... i do agree.. ford is litle .. hideous in describing options... that 250$ led kit is just basic and not like premium models at all.. its only in footwells and cupholders.. thats it...

and premium models have more options through MFT..
