Interior Configuration Problem with Race Red...

Thanks for taking a look, my first post here.

I'm thinking of buying a GT soon and have been playing with the Ford online configurator. let me explain what I wanted first though.

I wanted Race Red exterior. For the interior I wanted Recaros with the "Red Line" red stitching. Then I figured it would look pretty good with the red door panel inserts from the "Premier Trim with Color Accent Group". I got even more excited when a member on another Mustang forum said his door panel came like this instead of all red when he set it up that way (on his silver car), which looks ever better to me:

Here's the problem. Every time I pick "Premier Trim with Color Accent Group" and "Recaros with red line" it forces me to pick an exterior color other than Race Red. Can you not get a red car with black interior and red stitching? That seems like a money combo to me....:shrug:

There was a user who made his own "Red Line" interior by using red fabric dye markers to dye his stitching. It looked time consuming, but it got the job done.

That car and picture is from my car . Here is the order guide color chart. It shows redline is not available with Race Red.

Negative, all new Redline Recaro builds have the door panel above. Black w/Red Stitching. I believe that is a pic of Todd15Fastback's door panel.

The online configurator, and a few of the early Redline Recaro builds, have solid red door panels...like my car.

Rachel confirmed the red door panels are mis-builds and Ford would fix if you wanted them corrected. They are also working to correct the build and price which at this rate will be fixed for the '16MY.

Double Edit - I think the Redline Recaros' should be available with Race Red, not a fan of redline with Ruby Red myself.

Redline Recaro's are NA with Race Red...Only the black with white stitching is available with the Premier Trim.

Yeah lucky you man, I'm all setup to work from home but since I have an office close I have to come in...brutal.

That does suck. My whole team (13 people) have been virtual for over 6 years now. Makes it very nice not to have to deal with Atlanta traffic on a daily basis.

Thanks for the info guys :cheers:. Todd you can disregard my PM on the other forum, I didn't want to mention it here because some forums have it against their rules to mention others. Great to know the doors come stitched and not solid now. That clears up a lot of confusion for me.

I really love the black and red combo on the inside, it's what I have on my current car. I really wanted race red as well :( I guess I have to decide what's more important to me.
