dont forget NRMA & Shannons both have replacement first 1 or 2 years. Others prob do as well

Getting a supersnake 180 thousand agreed value Shannon's 1136 dollars Nrma wouldn't insure even though I have 7 policies and clean skin. I am 39 and didn't have finance on this shelby

i can believed people are paying In excess of 1000 dollars for a basic gt mustang. Also have 1800 dollar excess and new for old replacement. Shannon's are the best

Well Shannons' quote was way more than $1000 (for the GT). And I was asking them for insurance for 2 cars and a scooter.
So I went with RACV $1,462 with 750 excess.

There are other factors at play I told them I was a car enthusiast and they wanted to insure such a high profile car it's like a badge of honour. It is for limited driving but no specified kms and will be locked in my garage with camera and bollards.

Everyone's situation is different. I am 60 years of age, multiple NRMA policies, Gold member, max no claim and in a low risk suburb.

I am in Perth and am shopping for insurance for my Mustang delivery coming soon. I have had good experiences with RAC re claims in the past, but that was 5+ years ago.

Anyone here have any recent feedback re RAC? Their quote price was middle of the road.

RAC are always good, easy to deal with as they are here in wa. Choice gave them a very good write up recently .

Just swapping over from Apia pensioner's insurance (WTF, I'm only 54, don't say anything, just shut up about it) because putting in a supercharger, CAI, lowering springs and stuff for axle tramp.
Called Shannon's, about $2,300, but wouldn't insure me because the car can be seen from the street, even though it's tucked half around the house up a 20metre driveway. Needs a garage.
Most likely going with JustCar - not quite like-for-like insurance, I can add any mod I want, park it where I want, for about $800 less.

That's odd, my Pajero is insured with Shannons and listed as being parked in driveway. I don't even have a garage, just an attached car port.

be careful of cheap insurance companies like just cars or bingle. the bludgers will not let you choose your repairer and they hate paying out as well. i have seen this time and time again. ring shannons back and tell them the mustang club recommended them and you should get a good deal.
i have 8 policies with nrma and pay a little more but i know the bastards will cough up . my car mustang will be with shannons though
