Even though I am neutral on who the better tuner is, I really don't regret getting my 93prx. If you are curious enough about trying mpt and are willing to pay for it, I would say go for it.
Hey man are you an auto or manual, lots of advice but I just realized that some guys are manuals. I finally loaded tune 4 today, I had been putting it off because my expectations weren't to high. Turns out they were much to high. They said they would return my shift schedule and line pressures to stock so that's what I expected. Well it feels almost exactly the same, when driving in traffic, 20 to 35 it's upshifting and downshifting like crazy, and the pressure is so high on the downshifts it feels like someone else is pumping the brakes all the time. As austenhegland says, completely undriveable. Drives me insane. These guy are "tuners" and can't even return my auto to normal shift mode!!:doh:

I hate to say it but really do yourself a favor and try one of the MPT tunes then if you don't like it you can keep working with BAMA if you do like the MPT tune then you just saved your self a lot of trouble, some times free tunes for life are not worth the trouble just my 2 cents

You're pretty patient waiting for a fix. If I was in your position I would have probably wanted my money back by now. If you are at the point where it is frustration is setting in, just move on. Sure it is money wasted but do you really want to keep dealing with what seems like a fruitless endeavor? I mean maybe they'll have it dialed-in next time or maybe not. I would try a different tuner since BAMA isn't getting it right for you.

I pretty much came to that conclusion last night, you and Fuse are right! Think if I called AM they'd give me a refund since I'm not getting my moneys worth? If they do I'm gonna buy a lottery ticket also. I'll let you all what happens next, I gotta go load the stock tune back in my car.

I don't think you will get a refund on the tunes but let me ask you this which tuner did you buy ? SCT X4 Ngauge Diablo ? MPT uses the above so no you would not need to purchase a new tuner from them unless you want to. MPT has a video on you tube showing them using the BAMA SCT X4 to load one of there tunes on a mustang because they were getting a ton of questions as to if the BAMA tuner could be used or if people had to get new tuners. MPT came right out and said its the same tuner just with different stickers on it. So the investment you made for the tuner is not lost its just the bama tunes that if you paid for them you would lose. hope this helps cut the hurt a little

Also D Berry just so you know , NO I am not a motor head I am 56 yrs young and had never even looked at or thought of tuning a car ever, I had in my life a 4 cyl Camaro, I know, a V8 Trans am with the screaming chicken on the hood, and one of the Buick Regal T Type which became the grand national and then the GNX so yes I could have played with tunes as my life was moving on but it took me 56 yrs to bite the bullet and MPT was my very first jump into the deep end of the pool, I am happy with them and I think you will be to. my car only has this for mods

1) AiRiad CAI close box with see though top.
2) the GT exhaust swap that a lot of V6 owners are doing.
3) a JLT oil catch can.
4) redline racing hood sturts
5) the GT sturt tower brace.
6) the MTP tune.

so as you can see nothing that great for any type of power.
When I got my tunes I had purchased the tuner from CJ Pony parts so it only came with the so called caned tunes that you get when you purchase an SCT tuner.

So no I did not purchase the tuner from MPT but I did get the three tune bundle because I found it more cost effective. here is what I mean.

one tune 99.00 bucks, three tunes 149.00 so for 50 bucks a tune I got three of them.

I got and run there 93 PR-X tune its the top of the line tune from them and its great , I also got there 93 eco tune which is based more for gas mileage then performance.
the last tune I got was there any octane tune which leaves the stock gas tune tables you get from ford but dose tune the trans to perform better.

If I were to do it all again I prob would have gone with the 91 octane PR-X tune and not the 93 only because 91 is all over the place and 93 is hit or miss in some places, I also if I was getting the three tunes again go with the 93, 91, 87-89 PR-X tunes that way I had it all covered if gas prices jumped I could then still pull the best I could out of my car with what I could afford (I am Retired so money counts right now sorry )
Believe it or not I actually asked them to give me firmer shifts on my trans on the 93 PR-X tune because I felt they were alittle soft for what I wanted and they did it for me and also told my that they turned on the option for me to set the firmness myself so like the others haf said you can adjust the shift firmness to your liking with the tuner when you load the tune.

Hope this helps you let me know if I can be any help to you and I will do my best to answer your questions

Surprise, surprise, Bama is sending me a return shipping label and taking my tuner back! :clap2: Like you said I didn't think there was any chance of them doing that. Now I'll be able to get a tune without having to spend any more money.

I see you have a GT catback too Mark, how do you like it? I picked up 1.7 MPG with mine and it's louder too, I can't hear my Roush CAI any more. The guy at the dealership who changed my oil asked what I had done to it. So other than the fact that your car is a convertible our cars are quite a bit alike. I do have the hood struts too, and a rear subframe brace and the abbreviated K brace. Also the Steeda jacking rail which made the biggest difference in how stiff the body feels. Had to use the Steeda cause it's the only one that works with the subframe brace. The BMR is longer and would be handier than mine, but I wonder if it would help stiffen your car more than it did mine. Oh, by the way how did you get a strut brace on your car?

I like the GT cat back it did make it sound better and as for MPG it help I never really checked it with just the cat back. but I was getting around 24 combine and then when I started using the 93 octane I was getting 27 combined and after I did the tune I was getting 30 combined on it that was with the cat back and the CAi and the tune. on one trip I got 32.5 and have the picture to prove it because no one would believe me if I just said it.

my car came with the K brace as its it standard on all of the drop top cars to stiffen them up , I also have the chaise brace you talk about as I had to remove it to get the GT exhaust installed and then put the brace back on.
As for the strut tower brace you need to add washers to it to raise it about a 1/4 inch to clear the manifold on our V6's ,

So are you going to order the tuner right from MPT ? if you do I think they give you the three bundle package with it not sure . also they will not send you the tunes with the tuner PM me and I ll fill you in on what they do if you give me your email address in the PM message I'll send you pictures of the way my car is set up so you can see just how close we are

Wow, didn't realize I hadn't posted in a month. Got my refund and went out and bought a spoiler, so it looks like a tuner has to wait til spring. Well at least I'll look fast!
