"Insert Sat nav sd card"

f*ck off!!!

It is inserted... and has worked fine for months. Now when I need you to work, you won't! addle:

*turns car 100% off

*back on... still won't work.

Pop down to local supermarket next day and works fine.

Does my head in. Anyone got a fix or similar? :frusty:

Had this happen to mine a good few times. Always just eventually starts working again but i'd also love to know of a fix.

Possibly dirty contact? Take card out & clean card contacts, spray switch cleaner in the slot but leave plenty of time to evaporate.

This happened to me on a few occasions last year. It magically fixed itself and it's not re-occurred for a while.

Unhelpfully I have no idea what the root cause was.

Blow the contacts ;)! (The contact points not all the ones in your phone!)

If that doesn't fix it, try a friends/a new one, if that doesn't work - warranty. Could be all manner of things. I've never had this happen to me, only ever "satnav initialising" for like 5 minutes before realising, my satnav doesn't work in my garage lol!
