You must enjoy cleaning brake dust off the front wheels... not me. I love gloss black wheels on any car other than a black car. Black wheels on Ingot silver or Magnetic grey look amazing!
Black on black looks amazing.

I think black rims work on some colors, not on others.

Those wheels are really growing on me...the more pics I see of your car, the more I love that setup.

I'm probably in the minority, but I still really like the faux gas cap. Any word on ordering it as oem parts?

I wouldn't mind the U.S. 50th anniversary version, but I'd really like the European, Australian version. Simple and cool.
in europe the v8 will get the faux cap with "GT" on it, the I4 will get the faux cap with that Pony

have a look at the threats
euro Mustang spotted again
and
paris Motor Show
you will find tons of pics of them

I like the cap too. You can probably just order it at the parts counter of any Ford dealer. Whatever is on the trunk can be pried off and the new part snapped in place. It probably has those rubber-covered tips that just pop into universal holes on the decklid.

When I was making my "Mock 1" 2007 Mustang, I popped the "GT" emblems off the fenders and popped the tri-bar pony emblems in their place. Simple mod!

My cap will be on sale....In fact the whole rear back lid as I ordered a US version with the EB runing pony. (Mounting holes are different)

Keep in mind it might cost about $ 150 just to ship to US (what I am paying for GT grill and rear lid to Europe). These are on there way, the car, that's another story...

The mounting holes are different? That's odd. Not very smart from a manufacturing perspective!

I like it as well. I'd want one for my V6

Thanks everybody!
So? the mounting holes are confirmed to be different? That surprises me too...
If I need to buy the whole panel, I guess I will!

Firm it up with the guys at the parts counter first. They've got schematics of everything and can give you the assurances you need. No need to buy something you don't need.

I would be astonished if the mounting holes for the emblems were different. It would be asinine for Ford to make a different decklid to accommodate a different emblem.

I found this :

yes there are two holes in back of the 5.0 emblems. The rear panel has the four screws that attach it at the bottom, and metal snap in clips along the top edge. There is a plastic hoop that bolts to the trunk lid. The panel hooks into the hoop and snaps into the top. The trunk has lots of holes under the panel because of this. The GT is not removable either from the panel. It has tabs that go thru the panel and then they are plastic welded/melted on the back side.

and :

The logo is removable but it will leave holes. Just grind off the melted bits on the inside of the panel. I did mine but don't have pictures of it painted and put back on with double sided trim tape.

I want to have a clean solution and order a full back lid replacement..No holes, painting...
