I'm Addicted?

Im scared of what i will become. Only had the car for a week and im already planning things.

I had springs, a grill, and lights, 2 months before I even had the car.

Now I am saying "wheels and I'm done...at least for a while."

Hey guys. There is something I feel like I need to confess to others who may share this experience with me on here. It all started on February 19, 2015. It was like putting candy in front of a 6 year old. Since that day, my life has changed quite a bit because this is something I feel is taking over. I can't find myself staying away from it. I have to go experience it every single day in order to keep my sanity. I was away from it for three days and that was when I was truly addicted to this new thing in my life.

Here it goes... Don't be ashamed of me, please... But my name is Jesse and I am addicted to driving my 2015 Ford Mustang.

I've had my bad little girl for one month now and I already racked up 2,400 miles. Whenever I get bored, I crave going outside and taking a stroll in it. There is something about that car that gives me an emotional happiness. Maybe it's the superior ego, maybe it's the speed, maybe it's knowing the car is the nicest thing I have ever purchased myself before. But whatever it is, it sure is something that keeps this man happy. Ironic thing is I got out of a long-term relationship the day before I went to pick the car up, which usually means I would be down and depressed because it happened, but I haven't even looked back one bit because I am too occupied with driving my car, going places, and seeing things in it.

I took my first road trip (500 miles roundtrip) to Tampa a few days ago and the drive was phenomenal. I love seeing other 2015 Mustang's on the highway because I always put my hand out of the window and give them the rockstar gesture and they give them right back.

So tell me guys, are you strongly attached to your ride like I am? Do share your experiences!

Yep! Many of us share your same love and addiction.

I live in an area that have a ton of curvy roads that can run for a 5 miles at a time and traffic is not dense. Because of this, I am wearing my rear tires out pretty quickly. Why? Because of how I can steer this sweet ride with the gas pedal around long turns. I am becoming a drifting expert.

I run a pretty tight ship with my finances for everything else in my life. I live pretty comfortably, but this guy has always been one to hang on to his money. Until he bought a Mustang. When it comes to the Mustang I dont even think about it. I had a newer Focus before this that I 'modded', but even that was limited to some interior trim bits, 3m for the hood, a cellphone holder, and floor liners. I never thought I would jump in as much as I have now but im in love :love:!!!

the key is that I justify this money pit by the fact that these are 'functional' mods; oil catch can, winter tires, tints (for the leather I swear! haha), etc. The reality is it does not explain away everything else, such as a new GT grille, GT PP lower splitter, wheels for the winter tires (as opposed to just swapping them), etc. but onward ho!! I figure this is what I would be spending on kids if I had any.

All of this means that I typically change my route home from work every day and Ill usually take extra backroads even after 16 hour night shifts haha. I always volunteer to drive when I go out with friends despite all of them owning new 4-doors. Worth the bitching and hearing a fight over the front seat, every time.

Addicted? Is there a stronger word than that?

Only 19 and in college, but have been addicted since 14. Check the forums whenever I have my phone out. Have never had a mustang and only driven one once, but I love living through you guys haha. Hopefully in the near future after college I will pick one up. That's the dream

Now I know what it feels like to be a cheater. The other night I told my wife I was going out to buy a hose at 8pm. Two hours later I got home and she asked me if I got one.. I honestly had no idea what the heck she was talking about.

This crappy Michigan weather has only allowed me to put 100 miles on her since I picked up last Friday. I won't allow her out in the rain. It's tough to watch the garage door shut while she's in there. But I love my Edge Sport too, it's just not as fun.

I am addicted and scared of it's speed and quickness at the same time. I'm addicted to being able to be going 80 mph when a few seconds earlier I was just doing 20 and just wanted to pass that car real quick. When I get my exhaust put on I am sure I will be addicted to the exhaust not when I kick down to 2nd from 3rd gear to pass the slow driver in my way. Funny, thing about it, is when I drive my DD acura TL, I drive like an old man. This car transforms me into a 19 year old kid. LOL
