Nice! I did well also, 2nd in my class (not sure on overall yet, they haven't posted). Car handled really well, just was very grip-limited with the stock all-seasons.

Nice! Did you see my buddy Dave there in a Mini Cooper? He took first in his class. Big ass white guy with bald head :)

I have a question for all you Autox people, Im 23 years old and I have always loved cars and going fast. When I was first driving (16, 17 yrs old) I was always getting in trouble for driving to fast and aggressive. Now looking back I can see that I was in the wrong and shouldn't have driven like I used to on public roads and now understand when to have fun and when to be responsible. That being said I have always been interested in Autox, but I don't have any actual aggressive driving experience. So my question to you guys is: did you take some sort of classes to learn techniques and skills? Or did you just start autox and learned as you went? I would love to get out there and compete but I also don't want to make a fool of myself because I don't know what I'm doing.

I plan on getting a GT/PP in the coming months, my last car was a Pontiac G5, so it is a MASSIVE increase in power. I know I have to respect the power, but I also want to learn how to handle and drive with that much power! After all whats the point of 400+ rwhp if you cant use it :p

Most autox groups have a car control clinic in the start of the season. I myself just jumped right in and started racing. Always get an instructor to sit with you your first season. If you want to learn I can get you involved with my groups and my instructor friends will help you out. If you are free this Saturday swing by Sears Center in Hoffman estates and come say hi. We will be there from 9am-4ish. I will be the only Magnetic GT racing so it won't be hard to spot me ;)

Okay cool! I won't have my mustang yet but I'll see what I'm up to and hopefully I can swing by and get to know some of you guys! It's tough right now cause my family and I just moved up here and we sold all our cars before we moved, so right now we have 1 car for 3 of us so me getting places is a crap shoot right now :p How late in the year do you guys normally run and do you always run on Saturdays? I will definitely be getting into it next year! It's always been a real interest for me and I'm really excited to finally be ready to get involved! :D:D

EDIT: Good news! I'll definitely be able to get there on Saturday! I'll be on the look out for your stang Renner, I would love to meet some people and get myself involved with your club even though I don't have a car to run with yet :(

BMW and PCA both run 1 time per month from April till September. I bounce back and forth in both clubs. BMW has some really good drivers and they really try to out run each other for points and PCA is more just for fun and good club when you are just learning. You will need to park on the side lot since you won't have a waiver signed to get into the big lot. There will be about 100+ cars there so take it all in and enjoy the races. We run a schedule there so I will either be racing, working cones or on break...don't know what the schedule is till morning of race so can't tell you where we will be or when we will be racing. Grab a lawn chair from home plop down somewhere along the course and enjoy the show :)

Hi All,

Looking for feedback from anyone that has done business with Golf Mill Ford? I see they are a large dealer that moves a lot of Mustangs.

Are they reputable? Is there anyone specific I should speak to directly?

I am interested in a 2016 GT350 R.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike
I purchase my car there 5 months ago. My sales man was
Darwin Linsangan pretty cool guy.

Nice meeting you man. Sorry didn't have a ton of time to chat always running around during autox. Looks like you had a good time though and I am sure you enjoyed the ride along in Dave's super mini lol.

Keep up with the 2016 schedule at http://www.windycitybmw.com and for sure take their car control clinic. Hope to see you out on the course next season!

Great meeting you as well! I did have a great time and met a lot of good people! I'm really excited to get the car and get racing next season! And yes Dave is an amazingly smooth driver and that Mini is no joke!

Thanks for the info, I will definitely follow the schedule and see you guys out there next year!

Not sure if you're still looking, but I looked at Golf Mill as well before going elsewhere. The salesman was an idiot and wouldn't budge on a GT that wasn't even optioned to my preference. I ended up finding the perfect car at Roesch Ford in Bensenville and we even negotiated $5k off the sticker without any Ford plan pricing. My salesman isn't there anymore, but I had a good experience.

Good luck and let us check it out once you source one!!! :headbang:

Anyone interested in a X pipe before I return it?

$100 picked up. Never been installed, went with a catback instead of just the X pipe
