Thanks for the kind words y'all.

Z28 looks badass!!!! Gold on white is always a good look. I really don't know how gold on Grey will look, but I have high hopes.

Wheel #2 is ready for paint. I would have shot the first coat tonight but I have a Union meeting at my actual work location so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Gold and Magnetic would look pretty sick actually.

You're the authority lol!!! With that kind of color endorsement, they can't fail haha!!! Thank you for the encouragement, it means a lot. I know when I'm ready for aftermarket wheels, I won't even consider another vendor lol!!

Look forward to seeing them on the car. That gold will really stand out against the Magnetic

I almost didn't even start this thread! Now with all these positive comments, I'm highly motivated to get these done. Thank you to everyone who has responded in this thread.
Updates:

Sanding these wheels takes FOREVER! So many tiny spots to get to. Most of it has to be done with 1" X 1" squares of sandpaper. Making progress though. Luckily I did the wheel that was in the worst shape first. The other three will probably only need one or two coats of primer.

Its a labor of love bro. ! and that tat is sick also.
Labor of love nails it.

Thanks for the compliment on the tattoo. It's my Grandpa in Vietnam with 5th Special Forces group. 3 tours there, silver star and bronze stars awarded there. He raised me and he's also the reason I felt the need to serve as well.

Thanks for noticing!

Thank you. I haven't seen it, looks good. It can be hard for me to watch programs like that sometimes. I'm not allowed to watch the news either, orders from the wife, ha. I was still drinking a lot when Fallujah was lost by IAF and I shot the TV in my workshop. I don't drink much anymore and when my wife and I had my daughter, my life completely changed for the better.

Sorry for the therapy session.

Wheel progress will be updated as progress continues.

That is all, carry on.

Sub'd commented initially in the Ohio Thread and want to stick around for the final product... This is going to look sick when completed!

Update:

The family and I are leaving the country for a couple weeks, starting tomorrow. I'm multi tasking like a MF trying to get this wheel done in addition to wrapping up life's loose ends before we go off the radar for awhile. I might not get the clear all finished but I should be able to spray the last coat of paint and a coat or two of clear before we leave. When we get back, I'll be on 2nd shift so I should be able to wrap up the others quickly.

Maybe it's because I look at these for long periods of time, but I love the color more and more as time goes on. Can't wait to get these on the car.

Tagging for the outcome. Always loved the gold wheels and even thought about it on my DIB GT.
I'm not big on tats, but yours is really awesome! Great back story to it and can fully understand why. Nothing like having a hero as a daily part of you.
