I am an old - wash- clay - polish - wax kinda guy

But I saw an ad for this Hydrosilex stuff - with big claims of shininess and smoothness

So - I washed, clayed and dried the car - then sprayed a little of this stuff on ...wiped it off quickly

amazing results! bodywork is seriously smooth and very shiny - better than wax etc

not cheap mind! (I have no affiliation to any cleaning or polish produce!)

Anyone else used this?

I bought some Mr fix from eBay for Ā£6 , delivery was free or Ā£1000 for next day which I suspect would be delivered by Mr fix himself so I went for free.

I bought it to coat the black bits on my range rover which it did very well , very black and very slippery

Haven't had the guts to put it on paint yet though but I wouldn't be surprised to find the expensive stuff is the same or similar

Hydrosilex... look it up on Instagram... buy through there... Ā£33 a bottle though... I just covered the whole mustang... wheel too... And there is enough for 20 more cars left.

It is seriously impressive...

Wack ...similar but hydrosilex is a spray on wipe off product... instant results

Mr Fix is applied with sponge etc? A bit like a diy ceramic coating kit?

Yes Mr fix is a tiny bottle , I was going to put it on the wheels of the mustang to keep the brake dust down but might give hydrosilex a go , I paid Ā£40 for some autoglym HD wax

The detailing business knows how to take money off you

you should try this stuff http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2m-wetcoat.html get the essence version then dilute one cap full per 1.5l of water wash car as usual but before drying spray on and jetwash off then dry as normal.

instant ceramic coat for your car no fucking around with baking etc. Its not quite as good as a proper ceramic coat but it'll make the car so hydrophobic that water (and anything else) just slides off.

Let's face it... there's loads of good 'ceramic products nowadays

If this hydrosilex ever weakens and fails ... I guarantee to try that one next David! ... when the bottle of hydrosilex runs out... in 2022
