While that hudway glass is a great concept I wouldnt like to be leaving my phone in direct sunlight for long periods of time in our summer heat

Yeah the phones get hot enough as it is already.

Apart from the cheeziness of the whole arrangement, the supershit solution is actually probably the quickest way to get a digital speedo.

Has anyone used something like this? What's the refresh rate and is it reasonable?

Not sure. I thought all these HUDs are standalone units. They work independently from the car, no? :shrug:

I agree. Plus my phone battery life is very short and I dont want to have a messy cable attached to my phone whilst driving...

Don't feel bad, I've got 2 on order. Also just received this to plug into my OBD port, with output to the iPhone - it's rather cool.

Wish I could use it, but unfortunately the NGauge would be plugged into the OBD II port.

This one looks good for the price. Would even be worth getting to test out in an existing vehicle before the mustang arrives. Has anyone actually used one (of any type)? Are they distracting? Any legal issues?
