one can dream . ;)
I'm with you on one can dream!

IMHO I think HP & TQ might stay the same but then again Horsepower wars has been going on since the beginning with Camaro and Ford.

It wouldn't be the first time after a model redo that the following year received a few more horses.

Beginning of the Camaro vs Mustang Wars
1967 320 HP 390 ci
1968 335 HP 428 ci
1969 370 HP 429 ci V8 (semi-hemi?)
1970 375 HP 429 ci Mustang lost 1/3 sales due to: Barracuda, Challenger, Firebird

I remember people saying the body wouldn't change one bit then BAM, now there are hood turn signals out of the blue appearing on the 2016s.

Not counting on it but it's not out of the question so dream on:headbang:

and I'll add, just a little hope so we're not disappointed:hail:

BTW if I owned a 2015 GT PP, I would probably not be thinking too much about an increase in HP. Besides 2016s will already be getting Sync3, jumping the Microsoft ship for something more stable than the existing MFT, even though that has been finely tuned after all these years.

Don't get me wrong, if my lease were up last year, I'd have a 2015 myself and proud of it.

The only reason why i did not get a 2015 is because of SYNC 3. My dealership has the exact same car i ordered sitting on the lot right now minus the black painted roof which i added on my '16.
Had a deposit on a Shelby GT 350 but decided to get a GT after i saw how much it was here with tech pack .
But that's another story .

HP /TQ numbers will remain intact in 2016 to 2015 spec. No change is probable. The black roof option is sweet.............:headbang:

Sure you're right, probably not.

Ford has lots of other things happening right now;

  • QC/production challenges for the Mustang GT
  • Launching new cars in new markets World Wide
  • Developing more products to stay ahead of the car makers HP pack
  • QC/production on all the new products
Probably a lot more.

I think they should have treated the first model year better. It's a Mustang and completely updated and celebrating a big anniversary.
just my 2c
