Headers technically won't require tune nor will cat back exhaust systems on the market.

Regarding warranty after header install. I have first hand experience having my gt350 worked on under warranty with Lund tune installed, e85 in my tank, jlt intake installed and the long tube headers / high flow cats installed. (Basically the entire exhaust aftermarket besides the stock mufflers)

I had a solinoid go bad in the stock muffler and my dealer replaced it under warranty aside from the fact that I had long tubes and other mods. I was up front with my tech and told him to let me know if would be a warranty issue.

His response: no it's fine we are a pretty liberal dealer regarding that stuff.

I was fortunate though since a lot of dealers are complete opposite of that.

Back to your post lol... headers no tune needed, cat back exhaust no tune needed.

I think pmas was supposed to release a non tune intake for our cars but not sure if it happened yet

Thanks for the feed back. I've read if your engine goes pop Ford requires certain things before approving a new one. So I don't think your case will be universal

That is exactly correct! If you void the warranty and the connection can be made with any aftermarket modification, I guarantee that Ford will not cover you. Regardless of what your tech, maint manager or dealer tells you. When my engine was determined to need replacement they have specific requirements that need to be met, like a check list if you will. They can determine very easily via ECU data or visually, obviously, If the engine has been modified, abused, overreved, etc...
