I have an ecoboost premium with several mods and making 285 hp and 354 tq. Is it pretty low power compared with others? I have seen others with more power with similar mods. I am custom tuned by local tuner on dynopack.
Mods are:
Airaid intake
Cp-e catless downpipe
Magnaflow competition catback
Mishimoto intercooler
Sct x4 tuner

There are so many variables it is really hard to tell. Dynopack numbers I have seen are usually higher than Mustang dynos but I'm not sure if that is a standard. What octane are you tuned for? Octane seems to kill power in these cars. It could be the dyno, weather, altitude, fuel quality, tuner quality, or the gear the pull was done in. I would try taking it to a track and seeing what it traps to see if it is making comparable power.

That could very well be why your numbers are a little lower. I haven't seen many people post 91 octane numbers so there isn't a big sample to compare against.

You are running 91 gas. Just to get the 310 from the factory you need 93, so you are already behind the curve.

Your numbers seem consistent with a lightly modified EBM on 91. Get some good gas/E30 and your numbers will go up easily. E30 would probably blow your mind.

get a meth kit and tune from tune+/adam that will help deal with only running 91 octane. could be your tuner or altitude but I think your numbers look low considering your mods

Your definitely down on HP. is this a custom tune?

I'm an SCT custom tuner and dealer. I can help you get that power up to where it should be.

let me know if I can help at all.

thanks

On 93, and on a Mustang Dyno last night, I put down 306whp/415lb ft. of torque. They showed a slight torque spike and it settled to 406 for several hundred rpm before tapering off. Mods listed in siggy.

The horsepower seems a little low, no? Just compared to some others I have seen with similar mods

On a Mustang dyno, i'd say its pretty good for a single e-tune file and only a couple mods. On a dynojet, id expect to see significantly higher.

Not on a Mustang dyno and not with a single tune. His car is a single file, no revisions at all. On a Dynojet it would make 10-15% more power.

Yeah, it seems to be the answer, I was hoping to get about 300ish, but then... meh

IMO, if I were to do it all over again I would probably do meth.

Now that Tune+ has a full bolt-in kit out I've even contemplated going that route to save time and headache but with my E85 looking to move forward successfully that's the route I'm sticking with.

I could be doing a meth kit custom from my friend later on. He said 200-300 bucks for the kit and labor :D
