How to stay in Bluetooth mode

Whitney, will this update also allow us control over default audio source regardless of signal?
I.e. will I be able to say "stay in Bluetooth until I tell you otherwise?"

I know that the update is due to address the default audio source changing after a key cycle; however I haven't heard anything about the ability to set a specific audio source.

It's highly dependant on your phone's hardware and software. Some auto connect quickly while others are slower. Still others connect quickly sometimes and slowly others. This is the case with mine.

makes even more sense. I have an old Galaxy (S3) and it does take more time to connect.

Also using the Pandora selection instead of bluetooth audio seems to help a lot too.

Idk what's up with yalls sync systems. My Bluetooth streaming starts up when I start my car every time.

I had a sync update performed at the dealer recently. The "stay in bluetooth mode" is largely fixed with this update: the car will attempt to stay in BT mode when you start it and will search for your device for "a while" before giving up (I'd say 90% or better). It is pretty reliable and I rarely get the AM radio thing. A vast improvement.

ive never had this problem and i've had my base car since november 2014. I've had 3 phones since then I think. iphone 5s, 6 and 6s plus. i think i've installed 2 sync updates since then as well. FYI you can upgrade your sync yourself. log into the ford owner site to download it.

I'm fully updated, and my radio will has this problem about 50% of the time. Even if it searches for a connection, and finds one, it will play radio regardless. The cheap fix is to hit the power button on the stereo, and then start the car. For whatever reason, when the stereo is powered on, but it does not see ignition, it will connect to bluetooth, and not play radio over it.

There is a 1.1 update.. if you aren't at 1.1 you aren't fully updated
