How to stay in Bluetooth mode

The thing is sync doesn't like to play nice with some software and hardware that some phones have as fogus stated earlier. I have a HTC One M8 and Mine did the same thing. It would go to radio instead of playing from Bluetooth. Sometimes it would show the name of the song on the Bluetooth media but it would be playing from the radio. Weird stuff but what i did to fix the issue is I've tried another third party music player called Poweramp and I enabled a setting on there that makes my phone start playing music when it detects Bluetooth connection(picture below) and now it starts Bluetooth media automatically. I've had this third party app running for like 2 weeks now and haven't had it yet go to radio so I would say that fixed it for me

By any chance will this update also fix the issue where every couple of months sync will keep disconnecting my phone every time I try to play music through bluetooth and then to fix this requires me to pull out the sync fuse out of the fuse box.

I have a better workaround... copy all your music to a micro-mini USB drive, install, and forget BT. I did and I couldn't be happier. Works like a dream.

Except, if you have a REALLY long audio file (few hours - like a live recording or DJ set) - how do you reliably move forward/backward in the file?

Non-issue for me so I don't know. I suppose I would flip to BT for a case like this, then flip back to my drive when done.

You could split the file up into 10 min tracks or something. I've done that with audio books that came in a single track.

I've done multiple master resets but the issue still persists and I've also soft and hard reset my device. I've also tried it with a different device but it still keeps disconnecting when trying to play music through Bluetooth. Only way to resolve the issue is to pull the fuse out which I guess resets sync and clears its cache.

Same with me, and I posted a thread about it as well.
The dealer had no explanation, but it's a known problem (happened in my rental '15 Fusion last year).
Doing multiple master resets, power-cycling the car, etc. did nothing for me. I ended up pulling a battery cable.

Also, the update should address connectivity issues as well.

I recommend visiting your dealer when then issue occurs again. You may want to suggest they submit your issue to their Technical Team. In some cases re-flashing SYNC can also help with connectivity issues.

The alternative would be to wait for the update to be released.

Whitney, will this update also allow us control over default audio source regardless of signal?
I.e. will I be able to say "stay in Bluetooth until I tell you otherwise?"
