How to remove a stuck wheel spacer?

I am wondering how owners here with wheel spacers deal with the problem of them seizing to the brake disc?

i'm seeing lots of scary Youtube videos of people using brute force methods ranging from air chisels to blowtorches to get them off and I was hoping there is a less destructive option to doing this...

Is using anti-seize on the backsides an option? It sounds so messy...

loosen all bolts, put wheel back on and drive it back and forth slowly?
