How did you guys get all the metal filings out of the trunk deck? Dealer installed mine & you can hear "bits" rattling back & forth when you pop the trunk. They seem clueless as to how to get them out of there. Thought about running a magnet along the bottom when it's open to "collect" them, then run it up to one of the larger drill holes.
you will never get it all out
Unfortunately Khyber is likely more than right on this one. I as well still have a bit of rattling every now and again when I open or shut the trunk. I fished out two of the larger hole saw chunks with a flexible magnetic tool but it took a long time and was a huge pain. I suppose with a lot of patience and playing with magnets you could get a lot of or most of it out, but it will take some time.

When I install mine soon, I plan to use a magnetic retractable pickup tool near each hole when drilling. And will blow out the lid inside with compressed air as well.

THat would be the smart way to do it ! Dealer did manage to get it all out by pluging all the holes but 2 & using compressed air.

I've been debating black or color matched on Race Red. You just answered that question for me because yours looks badass! Black it is! Which Reynolds Ford did you buy the car at?

Got mine on tonight. All went flawless, but those two inner nuts are tedious to tighten. Not too bad with a ratcheting wrench though. Love the look

Thanks! Norman in dealership row. I worked with Stephen who is a Mustang owner and enthusiast himself. He was awesome. Sorry I didn't see your post sooner, never got an e-mail for some reason.
