I read in this thread that the seats are plug and play for 2018+ I have a 2019 301a. I took the cloth seats out and I have 2 harnesses and plugs. One isn’t getting use. I found a set of 2017 heated and cooled seats. Can’t I just plug in both plugs and enable the heated and cooled option on the Sync Screen with forscan and be done? If the new seats have memory would that be and issue? I don’t care if the memory option works

Hey so I have a 2020 and was looking at installing some 401a leather seats out of a 2019 that I believe have memory option I just want to verify that everything will work without modification (I know heated and cooled won’t work) just worried about all power controls working
If donor car has memory, then they will not move. You will need to bypass the memory module, which I explained in the main thread. See if that helps.

I saw your message but messed up the format and had to delete it then got sidetracked. Let's be civilized bro
Again, seats with memory module needs a little bit of tweak to bypass memory. It is easy.
Alternator is your call. I have seen this upgrade done on 10-15 stangs with no issue. If u want to upgrade the alternator, it would be fine.
Will the h/c work (plug n play) for you? I doubt it. Take a pic of the passenger seat connector and put here... or just verify there are wires in pins 1 (hot), 8 (ground) and 9 (hot)

You have pin 1 and 8 for the seat power, but you're missing pin 9 which is h/c module hot. You will need to add a hot to pin 9.
Is pin 9 on the main connector can you circle the one I need. I’m not very good at wiring where to i tap the wires into

The pin is written next to the wire at the edges.

9 is under pin 1, the empty big hole... your seat connector probably has a wire on the other side

Okay thanks. If I need to do this where do I tap in the wire? My buddies car has 401a package and there isn’t a wire there either. My driver side has both tho

Pin 9 passenger main connector goes to pin 4 connector c215 at the passenger kick panel. Before you do that, ensure there is a hot in that pin 4 coming from fuse 14 engine fuse box. See pics

Or you can simply splice the seat hot and feed to pin 9 (shortcut)

If you have a 2018+ with a 301A package and have 2 connections under the seat you CAN get leather heated and cooled seats. PLUG AND PLAY. No creating wiring harnesses no spicing no programming and No alternator upgrades. Only need the bezel with the buttons or use forscan to add the buttons to the sync screen. This has been tested by me. Any questions let me know.

Has anyone managed to add the memory seats function to a non-North Amercian stang?

I did add memory to my seat, it involved changing the driver door harness with one ordered from the dealership so you can plug in the driver door module, also relocating few pins in the driver door main harness by the hinch to accommodate the new harness. As the pin out is not the same. I think I have another thread on how it is done. Look it up. There should be the wiring diagrams and pin outs.
Can you link the thread where you explain how to wire up the memory function for the seats? I have a 2015 mustang GT premium that didn’t come with the memory option but have a donor 2015 Ecoboost that does have it. Wondering if I’d be able to make the memory mirrors work as well? Also have an extra oem sub that I would like to wire in if possible. Thanks in advance.
