How often do you treat the plastic?

With Meguar's Natural Shine and the like? Decided I'll do the interior once month, same for the exterior, but wondering if washing the car or even rain wash's that stuff right off on the exterior plastic parts.

Once or twice a month usually when I wash the car I use chemical guys and it seems to last till the next time I apply without fading
