hey guys I have new wheels on my car.my problem is the front wheels are 20 x 9 et20 with 255/35/20 when I installed it they were rubbing on driver side and I was at -0.8 of camber so we adjust it to 1.3 but still rubbing a little when I hit a big hole. How much I can go without burning my new tire to fast?

I'm running -2.3* to -2.5* (set-up is temperamental so I'm happy with a small range). Generally, it's not camber that kills tires; it's excessive toe (either in or out). When you add more negative camber (from lowering or with plates/adjustment), it causes toe-out. Let's say you were at zero or 1/16" total toe-in. Moving camber more negative might give you 1/16 to 3/32 out. Lowering the car 1" does the same thing (causes more negative camber and toe-out). Some guys like running toe-out at the track and mark their plates so achieving the desired toe is easy for either the street or track - just move the plates to the mark.

Where are you rubbing, the outer fender? This sounds more like a fitment issue and a bunch of camber is the band-aid.

I'd rather have the wheel's backside CNC'd or whatever down if possible.

Do not use camber to gain clearance. I repeat, do not do that.

That will be ok for the front but a bit much for street driving tbh. That's where you'd set a car that goes to the track on the weekends and to work during the week.

As was stated earlier. As long as the toe is zeroed out, 2.0* isn't really an issue. I daily with 2.5* and see very little inside tire wear.

Thats crazy, because my setup is 20x10.5 et30, with a 5mm slip spacer(so effectively et25) on 275/30/20s and i have never hit once. im lowered on sportlines as well, and honestly i havent checked my camber, but its probably around 2.5* your rim lip should be 14.1mm closer in than mine.

Yeah it's not bad for wear but it'll be a little twitchy.

Your car along with the others in that 10.5 square setup thread inspired me to do the same setup because I was chasing after super deep concave all around. Did you touch your camber/align it at all?

I've got 10.5 et28's all around and plan to go 275/35/20 so a bit taller in profile tire. How much of a finger gap do the sportlines give you? I'm going with coilovers and I'm trying to get an idea of what camber to get it aligned to to avoid rubbing. So far i'm finding something like -1.5 front and -2.0-2.5 rear. I'll especially need the rear camber since these wheels poke a tiny bit but the stretch in the tire should help.

I think my front k- member was off because the first time it was at 1.1 on passenger side without any rubbing and with 1.3 on driver side it was rubbing the inside of the fender when hitting a big hole
