Interested in possibly ordering a 2018 manual GT Premium with PP, Magneride and Active Exhaust. MSRP from Ford's website comes out to about $46,500.

I am willing to wait a while to get a good deal. However, it seems the car must be ordered, as no dealership stocks this build.

When is the best time to order (monthly speaking) for rebates, and how much can I expect off the price? I think I'd be happy with $40,000 before taxes. When is the last month to order a 2018, before they start taking 2019 orders?

Any input is appreciated.

Thank you!

My personal opinion is now is the time. They've made a ton of the 18s, the weather is miserable and dealers want to move cars. Spring fever might reduce the discounts but who knows. the 18s are new enough and exciting and you're not in the position where you know you want to wait for the 19 even though the price drops another thousand bucks. I'm factory ordering my perfect GT premium at 6100 off and happy with the deal.
