I've been thinking about picking up a CPO GT350 for autocross. If it moved to B Street, that'd be fantastic. Otherwise, I think it could still be competitive locally in A Street. Something to consider is that the lack of availability (price) of the GT350 which has kept many people from owning...
Hey All,
Another question for you fine folks:
Buying CPO - is it risky? How good is Ford's certified coverage for these performance cars? I'd likely go with a 2017+ since they all have the track pack. I autocross regularly, and want the powertrain to be completely covered in case something breaks.
Hello All,
Was wondering if you guys could possibly answer some questions I have regarding ordering a new GT350. I was thinking I'd visit a dealer soon and maybe get an allocation. Here are my questions:
1. Is the 2019 GT350 confirmed? Will it receive any sort of refresh?
2. If I place...
Well said. I understand what you're saying about demographics. The M240i seems like it would be autocrossed less simply because of who buys it.
I get that a brand new M240i is not the most efficient way to win events. My current ND Miata is the opposite. The reason I am considering switching...
I see. The main advantage of an LSD in autocross is corner exit traction right? I’ve always been a little confused how this also helps people who want to drift...
In any case, I just did some calling around, and the m240i can be fitted with a diff at port as a factory option. But I’m not sure...
Yeah. Maybe it's just a low-horsepower thing, but my non-LSD Miata competes very well (even better) than the LSD-equipped cars. I even had an LSD owner drive my car, and he said he felt no difference...
I'm cross shopping between these two, and having trouble deciding which one I'd rather have.
The BMW is "nicer" and perhaps has more low end punch, but also feels less like a pure sports car compared to the Mustang. More importantly, the Mustang is very competitive in F-Street, while the...
Interested in possibly ordering a 2018 manual GT Premium with PP, Magneride and Active Exhaust. MSRP from Ford's website comes out to about $46,500.
I am willing to wait a while to get a good deal. However, it seems the car must be ordered, as no dealership stocks this build.
When is the...
Thanks for the input. I'm hesitant to go PP2 because it looks like it might be classed out of FS, probably into AS with the SS 1LE.
I guess I'm just used to maxing out speed at top of my 2nd gear in the miata (50ish), and figured I'd hit that same speed in the GT. But sounds like the GT can...
Hey All,
Currently drive an ND Miata and autocross it regularly. I was intrigued by the updates to the 2018 GT so I took a test drive in a PP manual transmission. Pretty impressed. The transmission felt positive and the car had a "driver's car" feel to it. Interested in switching because the...
