took a professional sound level meter and measured the exhaust about 6 ft back...i took her to about 7K RPM, in sport mode:
-average data taken over 1K-7K RPM spool up: 93 dB
-PEAK LEVEL: 129.9 dB ( small font on meter screen)
what does this mean??? this is a very loud car, especially for a stock car! FYI, idle is around 85 dB, which is very loud too!
For reference, how loud is this???
-hearing damage: 120dB
-threshold of pain: 130dB
-jet engine 100 ft away: 150dB
love this beast!!! I would imagine the "R" is even louder! be proud fellow shelby owners, this is in fact a remarkable ride!
