  1. '18 GT with quad exhaust, wtf Ford???

not happy that the new GT has quad exhaust similar to our shelby, that was one of the key visual differentiator for me anyways over the previous GT, the shelby looked sooooo much more aggressive (aside from the sound obviously), not cool of Ford to make the new GT look VERY similar to the...
  2. Recall and Immediate Stop Sale on 8,026 GT350 and GT350R Models: Engine Oil Cooler

do you guys think they will drain all the oil, perhaps replace filter too, as part of this service ( I assume oil must be drained to replace these lines). If so, then that's the positive side, I'm due for a change in JAN so the timing works for me.
  3. how to clean Alcantara steering wheel?

anyone clean their steering wheels? I'm at 2500 mi and my wheel is no longer as soft as it used to be. I know in due time the it will only get worse unless I clean periodically. I've been to both Autozone and O'Reiley auto stores (in Phoenix) and I couldn't find any interior fabric cleaner...
  4. GT350 tire problems

I haven't even tried the Line Lock, and prob won't, not needed imo...I rarely smoke'm anyway, once in a while it's fun but yes, tires not cheap so don't want to roast them...just wanted to "mark my spot" in the lot, like a dog in the park..
  5. GT350 tire problems

anyone else experience the same tire shedding (or is it shredding) problem like me? If I do this enough perhaps I'll catch up to the weight reduction of the "R"...mine is a daily driver in Phoenix so the other morning coming in to the office I felt like leaving a mark or two...(that's me in the...
  6. Exhaust stuck

i had a bad actuator on mine on the drive home from the dealership with 12 miles on it!, had intermittent failure where it wouldn't switch to sport...they ended up changing the entire cat-back exhaust since the actuator/muffler assembly is a mated pair and not field replaceable.
  7. Another Snake in the Desert

welcome, chandler here, see you around...sometimes I'm at LA Fitness on Gilbert & 202 tues/thurs evenings...I'm the one taking up 2 spots away from the crowd...
  8. oil change at 1000 mi ?? waste of time and $ ?

so my understanding is FORD recommends 1st oil change at 3k or 5k miles, something like that depending on driving conditions. I don't track it, it's my daily driver with about 30 highway miles daily, and there are no hills here in Phoenix. ...I see many are opting to do an earlier oil change...
  9. GT350 on Vossen's

honestly, I think the OEM rims look great, they're aggressive looking, easy to clean and work exceptionally well to compliment the lines/color scheme of the body, I' don't plan to change them, of course to each his own but in my opinion a total waste of $, spend it on a stereo as that's the only...
  10. Anyone else hear this from their engine?

double check where the noise is coming from; i had an exhaust valve actuator/solenoid go crazy on me on day 1; it was trying to open/close repeatedly, even after shutoff...dealer replaced entire cat back
  11. "Drive Mode Selection Unavailable?"

mine did it the day I drove it off the lot...master tech at FORD identified a bad actuator. He said that each actuator is matched to its muffler so they had to replace complete exhaust (CAT back). They did an emergency ship of the complete assembly...so far problem has not returned...
  12. how loud is our cherished GT350??? find out here!

took a professional sound level meter and measured the exhaust about 6 ft back...i took her to about 7K RPM, in sport mode: -average data taken over 1K-7K RPM spool up: 93 dB -PEAK LEVEL: 129.9 dB ( small font on meter screen) what does this mean??? this is a very loud car, especially for...
  13. Ford OEM Matte Stripes

$2803 for the 9 PN's required, get a local shop to do it, ensure they have the proper dimensions ( must be shelby spec, NOT "SVT" or 5.0 spec), their vinyl is prob better than the thinner OEM stripes
  14. ALL GT350/GT350R LEADS, ALLOCATIONS, DEPOSITS [READ FIRST POST]

i know, but sometimes I prefer steering/suspension in normal, but exhaust in sport so the toggle just makes it easier, regardless its no big deal; btw, i like the trak spoiler better than the my tech spoiler...
  15. ALL GT350/GT350R LEADS, ALLOCATIONS, DEPOSITS [READ FIRST POST]

in my opinion tech is better than track ( I have tech). I suspect many don't track the car, the tech gives you the nice display and more comfortable seats that are heated/cooled, plus the sport exhaust toggle switch ( no need to go 3 menus deep to activate it). overall the interior of tech...
  16. got my stripes!!!

thanks everyone for your positive feedback! I'm honored to be part of the shelby club and receive your inputs! I know there's some out there that don't like the stripes on the shelby, and that's ok, but honestly the car looked "naked" w/o them, it really sets off the whole look, it just fits...
  17. got my stripes!!!

I can't tell you exactly the cost as I negotiated this upgrade as part of my purchase but was told my dealer budgeted $1000 max for it. If you want the source, i'm in Phoenix, colorbomb wraps. he said he had the dimensions so didn;t have to do any custom cuts. etc. if you order from ford it's...
  18. got my stripes!!!

    another pic
  19. got my stripes!!!

so my AG came w/o stripes, after much debate regarding colors and finishes I decided to stick with the OEM style, especially since I got a clear bra installed. I was thinking matte finish black with gloss black pinstripe but if you install clear bra it turns them gloss anyway and that would...
  20. exhaust mode failure

so just got the car and on the way home i get a prompt "exhaust mode not available" followed by " driving mode not available"...essentially can't go to sport exhaust or switch driving modes. Next day problem gone...3 days later it's back...seems intermittent...any idea?? exhaust bypass valves...
