How late to change paint?

I've ordered a Magnetic. Really thinking I might go for the Black. My car isn't due to be built until May. If I change will I loose my spot in the queue?

According to my dealer you go to the back of the line if you want to make changes this late. I ordered at the same time as you and was asked to confirm the colour etc about 6 months ago. After that everything was locked in. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has been given different advice.

Not sure who it was but someone made a post a couple months ago claiming they changed their colour choice relatively close to the build date...

They said they were told the change would not change their position in the queue, whether or not thats the case is yet to be seen.

It was my understanding that any major changes to an ordered car would put your order back to the end of the queue.

your dealer is probably the best person to be asking.

My dealer advised when I put my deposit down that i would get a confirmation email from ford before build date to confirm all options. I have never got that email and I have a VIN.

In all honesty I am hoping that they don't because then I will have the internal struggle about colours again. It delayed me ordering by two months while I decided between cherry, white, deep impact blue and Black...... Dont email me Ford just build it!!!

I changed my colour from white to yellow, however I didn't have an NSC number. Apparently once an NSC is issued you can't change anything.
