How is Factory install stripe made?

Does anyone know how factory installed over the top stripe is made?

Is it pained or decal? Glossy or mate? (I am partucularly interested in black stripe on red).

Factory ones are vinyl, most are glossy except the black GT350 gets black matte I believe.
