Hello guys.
I just finished my 2nd degree and I need a mustang! Have the daily paid off so Im really excited about getting this car to the track.
I really want a specific one, white with black roof and leather and no stripes.
The thing is Im in the process of buying a townhouse so I need to keep my DTI in line right now. So I guess my question is, how do I order the care I want, and how long to I have before I can't order one anymore?

Thanks!

Head to your local dealership, find salesman and order car.

Or, pick up a 16 that is already on the floor.

Thanks, wasn't sure how it worked with allocation.
Any dealers in particular that seem to get more or offer MSRP? Im in North Dallas btw.
I know all the Vette guys order from the east coast dealers b/c of the volume they do.

Thanks

If you plan on taking the car to the track, you probably want the Recaros, not the leather. Unless you want to slide around

Sit in the recaros first though. Fella like me (6'1 230) can't fit in them. I fit well in the leather though and it isn't too bad on the track (albeit short runs).

To find dealers with allocations you gotta call around a bit. Some might already have some 17s floating around, at least here in Canada that is the case. Few 17s sitting on lots...

Thanks for the info. Recaro's aren't for me either.

I see your in B.C.
I couldn't even imagine the pleasure of driving this car there. I was up there a few years back in the summer. Absolutely amazing place!

Yeah, we have some pretty great places to drive up here. The GT350 handles it very well.

You probably know this already, but, if you are going to be doing some spirited driving, and the recaros aren't for you, aim for a 2017 instead of a 2016 tech pack. The inclusion of coolers is a solid reason to spend the extra few bucks.

Good luck with your purchase.

I'm 5'11 at 230. The Recaros are awesome and fit like a glove. I have wide shoulders and was surprised they fit so well. Get your condo purchased first before you alter your DTI for the worst.

Yep, its all most done. Im not sure it would matter b/c Im putting down a significant amount but not going to risk it. Maybe I need to take a look at the Recaro's but think they are not for me.

Only certain Dealers get limited allocations. Even less if you a want an R. Contact a lot of dealers looking to see which ones actually have an allocation. Dealers are still trying to get ADMs on these cars, so make sure you find the right deal and you may have to go long distance to find the right deal. If they have an un-built allocation you can make the choices on how to build it. Since '17 all come with the most important coolers it doesn't matter as much what options you get for the seat. Leather vs recaros seems to be a personal choice. However, if you choose to look of a built '16, then since you want to track the car, only look for an R or a GT350 with Track Package. If it is a '16 Tech or Base model GT350 it wont have the trans or diff coolers and wont do you much good on the track. And don't think about "adding the coolers" later. At this time nobody has a cooler kit for these cars.
