How can spammers think this could ever work?

I get emails in my inbox like below. I assume adding a bunch of nonsense characters to the subject is to game spam filters but at the same time is a dead giveaway to the humans they want to open the emails.

I get a ton of this crap on a daily basis and it drives me nuts. So blatantly fake, and I can't believe anyone would fall for it.
