So from other posts I've made, you can see I ended up with a $1000 private cash offer days before taking delivery. When I ordered the vehicle in May, I signed up for several brochures with no e-mail requests. I received about 4 of the 12 or so requested. Not one had a private cash offer. I forgot about it until I was notified my car rolled off the line. I then immediatly re-requested brochures and discovered the e-mail link on the request page. I filled out 8 requests using 4 different e-mails and two different names.
IE: [email protected] with My name
[email protected] with my wifes name
[email protected] with my name....etc
Within 2 days, I received a request via e-mail to confirm that I actually requested information at each e-mail address. I confrmed yes. 6 days later I received the $1000 offer in my wifes name to my 2nd e-mail address.
4 days after taking delivery, I received 5 brochures in 1 day, all with private cash, as follows:
Ford Focus Electric: $500 - my name
2016 Escape: $750 - my name
2016 Fiests: $500 - wifes name
2016 Fusion + Hybrid: $750 - my name
2015 F-150: $1000 - wifes name
Not sure if there is a marketing algorithem or not, but there it is.

So I am now convinced Ford is trying to get more female buyers. Of all the combinations of requests, it seems the ones in my wife's name gets the private cash, while the ones in my name only got 3 mailers. She got 5 mailers since my post and several e-mails all with private cash. None of my emails (and I get alot) have any private cash. Now this is assuming Ford's marketing can determine gender by name only, but since we have very gender specific names (not Pat, or Jean, or Chris, or Shawn), it would be easy.
So my advice....if your a guy, try requesting the e-mails in your wife, girlfriend or feminine version of your name (or any female in your household). It might increase your odds! YMMV

It also depends, very much, on where you live.... If your in a region with low on the ground inventory forget it...now if dealers in your part of the world are way overstocked and Ford wants cars cleared out then you have a better chance.......
