When I got my car I noticed a mark with no paint on this front end reinforcement. I bought touch up paint and it was covered. Now I see the touch up paint is gone and there is a corresponding mark on the underside of the hood. They appear to be rubbing together. Anyone else have this happen?

I put a thin piece of adhesive backed rubber on the area (red arrow). Don't know if it wll work.
Does anyone know if there are supposed to be rubber pieces at the yellow arrows to keep the hood and reinforcement from rubbing on each other?

Hmm, I was hoping that someone would have some knowledge about this issue.

The hood stops have some adjustability.

This is my first new Mustang in quite a while, would they be those round rubber bellows covered things?
Allen wrench or a screwdriver to adjust?
Thanks for your suggestion.

Ahah, I see that by twisting them they go up or down. I'll see how adjusting them works. Naturally, the higher I adjust, the harder to close the hood. We'll see, thanks Jetnoise!

I was also looking at putting a washer under the hood latch to slightly raise the hood. I dont have a service manual to see the torque value on those small bolts. Therefore, I don't want to take a chance of overtightening and have them break. Not funny to eat a hood at highway speeds.

The hood latch/ hook. It may not be a good idea to put a washer under each bolt.
