Im glad the remote is a fixed asset in the car. There is an epidemic of robberies in our city with people breaking into cars, stealing remotes and car papers to get address and entering through garage ..

I programmed mine by ignoring the instructions in the manual, which seem to be incorrect (e.g. no matter what I did, I could not get a solid light on the Homelink).

1. Hold Homelink and remote buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.
2. Press the learn button on the opener.
3. Run back to the car and press the Homelink button. Done.
