holy crap this website is killing my data

on my phone. almost every visit or page refresh is well over a 1Mb, sometimes up to 2Mb.

Got to get in the habit of checking it less, but Im addicted

^this, I'm on here quite a bit throughout the day. I average about 2GB a month. My main usage is this site on Tapatalk, instagram, you tube, and Google music. With WiFi only at the house.

Does tapatalk really help with the data usage though? It still has to read the data coming in doesn't it?

This forum is just built really heavy. Could probably scale it back quite a bit.

I'm guessing it helps a lot with the resizing of pics when viewing, and condenses everything since your not viewing all the info shown on web view.

It will still eat data, but it will be dramatically less. It cuts out a ton of overhead and does try to resize photos.
