Hello,
I am going to offer my 2 cents on this topic.
I have a 16 Base GT 6 Speed and absolutely love it! It is a great car and much fun to drive.
Even in Base Form, it feels like a complete package. The only option that my car came with is the Black Accent Package.
With that being said I will say that perhaps if I had to do it over again, I would have gone with at least a Premium Package GT.
If you plan to do mods and you state that money is not an issue, then I think getting the PP would not be ideal but the amenities that you get with Premium are worth it.
If you look over at the infotainment section you will see how much of a hassle it is to get an aftermarket screen upgrade right now or to go from the base 4.2 to the touch screen.
Also, consider the premium comes with the better rear bumper setup which allows you to easily upgrade to something else (different diffuser or GT350 setup, etc.).
With the base bumper, you pretty much have to upgrade to a premium bumper first, including paint, and then get what you want added to that.
Looks like you are leaning towards PP Premium, which is awesome but if you plan to get better rims and suspension and what not, you might be better to save your money and put it towards mods, including a brake upgrade.
Well hope that helps a little.

I feel that the Perf package is well worth it. There isnt anything in the package that I'd ever replace/upgrade. Some may argue the wheels, but the black pp wheels are pretty sweet IMO.

My favorite part of the pkg also..those pp wheels...Lamborghini Aventador style!

If you can only do one or the other now, I would do the premium. It is not that the performance package is not worthy, I just think it would be easier and possibly cheaper to add the performance package later and they can be done a few parts at a time. And a better variety and better pricing is likely also as more and more performance parts come to market. Just my opinion.
