'16 vert leaves somewhat limited choices as not all fit. Long story short, Borla S type 2 1/2" or 3"? What's the difference in sound and power?
Now the long story and more questions lol:
Car WILL get kooks or ARH long tube headers at some point if that matters.
It's a daily driver so I do not, even with he headers want to lose much if any power below 3500 as that is a lot of where the car is driven, but I don't want to be losing out on power either.
For a DD car with just an intake and tune for other future mods, would you go 1 3/4 headers to 2 1/2" catback or 1 7/8 headers to 3"?
Would you even be able to tell much drive ability difference?
Was thinking I wanted Corsa sport or Borla S type. Corsa is taking a long time to get their vert system to market and now that it's getting closer I've seen it listed for $150 or so higher than the coupe system... $1599 is more than a set of nice headers and I just ruled it out because of that, wife likes the Borla sound anyway.
I've agonized for 3 months and listened to every YouTube clip imaginable to get to this point, help me close the deal LOL!

Corsa might be out pretty soon:) As for Borla, 2.5 is what you need to run for fitment last I checked. Give us a shout if you have any questions, we might be able to square you away:)

you would want the 2.5 or a brand that has a convertible specific exhaust.

we have header options starting at 699 as well

So reading up Borla says they make the 3" specifically for header use. Would I still need to go 2.5" just for vert figment?

Correct, you'll need a 2.5. The 2.5 will work with headers too

Our 3" system is designed specifically for use with Long Tube Headers. If you're planning on going with Long Tubes at some point I highly recommend our 3" system from a sound and power perspective. We sell a lot of these 3" systems because those with Long Tube Headers are in need of an exhaust designed specifically for use with Long Tubes. The Headers just change the sound and power profile so much, they really need something different.

Will your 3" systems fit the convertible models without modification?
