I`ve seen the 2015 Mustang Convertible in person with (most) of the paint colors. I ordered mine in Race Red, so obviously, I`m partial. That said, Ruby Red Clear Coat Metallic is very "handsome" indeed, just not a paint color meant for a Mustang, IMO. Better suited for a Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Escape,C-Max, Explorer, you get it? My second choice would be Triple Yellow Clear Coat. On a Convertible with its Black Top, it is (very) sharp and it will be a very limited production run, perhaps 1 or 2 years. White, Black, and 50 shades of Grey, yawn......meh.
I'm getting the fastback, a convertible is nice but I won't get to enjoy it much with the high temperatures around here. Also I've read somewhere that the convertible is a bit slower than the fastback, is that correct?

Either way, the dealer will be getting the convertible by the end of 2015, and I don't think I can't wait that long.

As you mentioned, Ruby Red is handsome, just not on a Mustang. It's also not my colour. I was interested in Competition Orange, but now I'm more towards Race Red or Triple Yellow. I also have to think about the colour of the stripes if I wanna add them later, and what would match and look nicer.

I`m not into Spoilers (or) Stripes myself. I think you`ll be fine with either Race Red or Triple Yellow. I know a bit about heat (with) humidity. No desert here but 7 months of 92` temps with high humidity. True, living but 3 miles from the Ocean, we almost never see temps near 100` or higher thanks to a constant Sea breeze.
