I am reassembling my 2015 Mustang after a DIY evaporator replacement. I’m so close to finishing it up but I can’t figure out where this connector plugs back in. It isn’t the knee airbag connector because I already have that one. It has to be something within 8 inches from the trunk release connector because they are loomed together.

I do see the above schematic diagram, it could be the trunk popper, but looking at how the harness is coming out, it could be steering column related. Some of the connectors to and within the column are yellow as a "caution" that it could be tied into the SRS/airbag system or a related module.

Normally standard connectors are gray or white to things like the trunk popper, headlight switch, gauges, SYNC, etc.

I could be totally wrong with the above, but be cautious with that one...

Look at the proximity of the yellow connector in the photo image and compare to C218A, C226A, C2360 and C2434 in that above diagram.

Yellow is always an air bag connector. Tha appears to be for the drivers side knee air bag or for the collapsible steering column inflator (base of the steering column just above the steering shaft ) if equipped.

After further review that is connector C2360 . @MrBD1348 supplied component location of the EVTM . So that plugs into the base of the steering column .
