Hay guys I came up whit a way to use the factory pedals pretty cheap and with good results so Far I know there is a steeda heel and toe kit and the accelerator pedal extension is only $25 but I wanted to try something different instead of putting on a pedal cover I came up with a way to bring the pedal up and closer to the brake pedal for easier heel and toe down shifts well this is how it works there are 3 studs coming out pretty far for the accelerator pedal assembly I went to home Depot and got a few 1/4 inch washers to bring it up now since your using washers you can tweak exam where the pedal is I went as far up as I could and as close to the brake pedal as possible which from the looks of it between the accelerator and brake pedal there is about 2 inch gap and the accelerator pedal sits about 1/4 inch lower than the brake pedal I my set up was 11 washers on the bottom 4 on the top left and 6 on the top right for me this brought the pedal up and as close as possible will add pictures later tonight hope it works out for you guys and this should work on any s550 mustang but will only be useful to the manual transmission owners

I've been wanting to do something similar, I poked my head in there and saw the 3 studs. I'm intrested in how it behaves with different amounts of washers on each stud.

The gas pedal only feels like it needs another 1/4in and the studs are plenty longer than that.

I can't load pics with my phone but as far as washers go the bottom was 11 washers top left 4 top right is 6 and when you take the pedal assembly off its on posts so when you tighten it down It pulls the pedal up and to the left and as far as holding up I've been doing some pretty spirited driving and it puts it just at the right spot I've also tried it while it rained my feet were slipping all over but the pedal assembly is pretty robust so I doubt I'll have to worry about it later

Hay guys I guess I'll do an update on this mod now first doing this mod I kinda had the pedal setup to were it was like training wheels and I could easily learn heal and toe shifts now that I have a hang of it it's starting to become muscle memory and I'm starting to heal and toe more aggressive waiting a little bit longer so I'm braking harder but the gas bed all is up so high that when I do really aggressive shifts I have to really exaggerate my heal to get over the gas pedal so now this is where the mod shines took 3 washers out now I'm in a happy medium now I can heal and toe driving normally and when I'm driving aggressively I don't have to stretch so far I think this is a great mod for only $5
