Headlamp knob rattle/buzz

It doesnt mean it is the knob just because it stops when you push the middle of the knob. On mine I can push pretty much any surface on the side and it will stop, the center of the knob, the ring, the top of the dash the side of the dash or the panel. Pushing on any of those surfaces stops a lot of the vibration in the area. That is why the source of the noise is hard to identify, but its also why putting somr dynamat behind the panel stops it.

really simple fix guys. If you remove the knob and panel piece you can lay some dynamat behind it, reinstall and it wont rattle.

How do you remove it? Just stick a flathead screwdriver into the gap and pry it out?

Others have reported if you go to the dealer and report it you can get a new knob that will fix the problem too.

that or take it back to the dealer, it's under warranty.

Took it to Ford and its Rattle free for now. Here what they did.

Mine vibrates around the A/C vent headlight knob area in my car. I just push it around and it's good, but comes back every drive and there I go again... I'll prob just take it apart and see.

Mine had the same problem. It was the AC vent. Ford fixed it and now there is no rattle. If anyone has this problem just take it to the dealer
