Head unit ground location

Can anyone tell me where the head unit is grounded? Is it easily accessible? (Well, as easy as removing the head unit)

I have noise in my system and its been suggested to ground the dsp in the same place as the head unit.

Did you ever happen to figure this out? My amp says to ground to the same ground for the head unit for high level input. Gains are all the way down and still clipping so I imagine I have to use a common ground for it to work.

Just the base 6 speaker system and a soundstream st4 1200d snuggled behind the dash. The input says high/low level and to use the ground when using speaker level ( high level ) input. I ended up throwing it under a metal on metal screw but never really checked if it’s a proper ground, as I’ve got a LOC harness coming in the mail soon anyway, which when
adjusted should negate any clipping of the input signal which is my main issue as of now.

The stock radios are all grounded through the stock wiring.

I think the clipping issue can be solved with Forscan. Did you try that? Love to see where you stowed it.

I have not tried forscan but have seen lots about it. I haven’t heard of anyone lowering the output signal just adjusting eq Rolloffs and stuff. Oh and the amp, I just ripped out a lot of the plastics behind the screen Area, basically the whole bracket that holds the sync unit, plenty of space in there just a lot of plastics that get in the way. It’s such a tight space to work in and my frustration led me to it lol. I can try to grab pics if you need.
