For the engineers on here...Happy π day!
Now, to make the requisite COVID-19 reference...The best I got is the name corona in the class of viruses that COVID-19 belongs to is because corona resembles a crown, and the virions resemble the corona/circle shape. So, using π, we could compute important things like the surface area (4πr^2) or volume (4/3πr^3) of the particle. Or use it to calculate the volume of a roll of toilet paper (πr^2h) so as to maximize the number of rolls of toilet paper to fit in a shopping cart
