H pipe slipped off the headers again.

2nd time in 2-3 weeks...... kooks headers (stock connection size) with steeda h pipe. Installed with my big impact last time. My daily is on the lift at the moment getting a new front suspension so its not a opportune time for my pleasure car to need attention as well. Im planning to take my calipers to the OD of both the connection pipes and the steeda h pipe. Maybe there is a significant enough difference between the two that the clamps cant bite down good on both pipes.

Also just thinking maybe i go ahead and just order my cat back. On the fence between corsa double h or magnaflow xmod. I found a xmod at the same price as the corsa $2500

Your sleeve clamps are stretched. Order a new set, and don’t use an impact on them. My 2016 original ones stopped holding over the years with my Kooks headers and connection joints last year. New set of OEM sleeve clamps and good as new.

Go to any shop and have them tack weld it. The tack will hold it and will not be very hard to cut the tack if you need to

Would not suggest welding, replace the sleeve clamps.

Welding does not allow for servicing this area, it does have its place. And it ain't there.

With a bit of thinking the reason for that is obvious.

Im going to order the new clamps for now. That or order the lethal performance corsa double h and the 3" kooks connectors.

Accu Seal, 10mm bolt 40~60 ft. lbs. torque.

That is why you just tack it and not weld it

Just ordered the kooks 3" adapters for the headers to remove the 2.25" choke point and also ordered the corsa double h resonator delete. Both are stock items so i hopefully should have them in a few days.

Good news is CORSA uses Accu Seal clamps.
