Take into account the lighting and it will always look different. In bright mid-noon sunlight it will have the color shown above. In a parking garage or shadowy area it will have a really nice dark green color. After sundown it is going to look almost like a dark black color. Check the guard thread if you don't believe. I think I can get used to having a little variety.

It does look bad when it is dirty though from the view I saw. I wonder if it is going to be just as much of a pain to keep nice looking as a black car is. The grey might be the better color in that situation.

This looks like it was taken in a dark overcast sky, so it changes the color.

To each their own, but I like my color to be uniform. If I want to take a photo of my car, I don't want to have to wait till the lighting is just right.

Ehh disagree, what is "Right" to you, there is no wrong color. They all look good.

I never said there was a "wrong" color...I was referring to the lighting outside.

Let me rephrase...let's say you're essentially in four different lighting situations most of the time: direct sunlight, cloudy, night, and artificial light (which can vary greatly in itself). I want a color that looks the same regardless of these times or at least 75%. Colors like Guard, Deep Impact Blue, and Competition Orange don't hit this benchmark for me. Colors that do are Race Red, Oxford White, Magnetic, Black, and Ingot Silver (haven't seen Triple Yellow and still on the fence about Ruby Red).

Adding my opinion here to avoid muddying up the guard thread more, I finally saw a guard Fusion yesterday at a local dealer. Like some others have said, I was more confused after seeing it in person. Spent a good 45 minutes walking around two Fusions, one in the showroom and the other in bright sunlight. Tried to take pictures with my cell but none of them looked anything like what it looks like in person so deleted them. It definitely has a color change effect but not like mysic or pearlescent paint jobs do, it is more chameleon. In the same light (indirect sun) from 15 ft in it was fairly rich green but backing up it developed a bronze or gold cast to it. In shade or indoor it looks dark grey with a hint of green.

I came away appreciative that people like it because the color change effect can be cool, but for me some of the colors I simply did not like myself and some I liked very much. Am planning to pass on it unless it looks very different on the Mustang than the Fusion, but somewhat regrettably because I want to like it.
