GT500 Mufflers and X Pipe on the Dyno

Had my car on the dyno yesterday for a tune. Car put down 437/404, but the dyno is consistently 20hp/20tq high. So about 417/384 SAE with a 170* thermost, and the mufflers. Nothing really for power.

Thought I'd share the sound of the mufflers since many are interested.

so are you guys getting these gt500 axlebacks fabbed into place by an exhaust shop?

^^ Scott - Yes, exhaust shop can fab it up. it cost me 100.00 and took them approx 1 hour ish...

Are you guys buying them used or new? I'm looking for a pair but am waiting a while until I decide to buy a new set of the mufflers.

Where are these 100 dollar gt500 mufflers? I think I want to give it shot

You can find some on eBay or forums for ~$250-300, or BNIB for ~$400. The install could be anywhere from $100-300 depending on the shop. One poster here said several shops wouldn't even touch doing the work (you have to heat and bend hangers and make custom pipe).
