What am I searching for ? I see a link to a website that people say doesnt work anymore.
and?
To reiterate what someone else posted. I also placed a 2016 R order with only a 350 allocation and it never went thru and a 350 didnt even come. Dealer thought he could order the R regardless, but thats not how it works.OK i called ford at 18003923673. They can see the order but Im guessing they dont know if it will be built ever.
But at least I can confirm they placed it..
Yeah I got that hence I said I dont know if it will ever be built... Is there anyway to confirm that independently? To reiterate what someone else posted. That's what I'd like to know. How to tell it is a bonafide allocation and not just an order.Yeah I got that hence I said I dont know if it will ever be built... Is there anyway to confirm that independently?
Request proof from their Ford Rep.That's what I'd like to know. How to tell it is a bonafide allocation and not just an order.
My dealer seems to be a bit of NEWB It does sound very annoyingNo, you have to have your dealer contact the regional rep. If they tell him, yes they have an R allocation, then they do. If not, then it wont be built. Dont trust your dealers word because they may tell you they asked but didnt. Ask for a email from rep. Sounds like a lot of BS...and it is.
Ford shoukd have made it so that their system only accepts the order if dealer has the allocation.
Edit: Another thing that speaks volumes is how many 350s allocations the dealer has for each model year. If 3+ i'd say its likely they would get an R allocation but still you just never know until you call.
The rep confirmed to my salesman and GM that it is an R allocation, but I don't have anything in writing except an email with the agreed upon price and the order confirmation. This was the first of 3 R allocations for my dealer. In my case, the buyer backed out and I was pestering my salesman so much that I was first on the list to get the call. So who knows.... time will tell. I wish there was a way for people like us to confirm allocation status independently. No, you have to have your dealer contact the regional rep. It's shocking that dealerships have no clue what's going on. Surely, Ford would have sent out information regarding the GT350/R ordering process in the beginning when the dealers signed up for the program.I don't know if they have a allocation I don't think they know they need one
