Anybody have an idea how to change the leather centering strip of the GT 350 steering wheel? I'm wanting to change the color from black to dark blue.

yeah i ordered my steering wheel like two weeks ago, as well as a Ford Performance hood strut kit, still "processing"

I just received my Ford Performance hood strut kit. Install wasn't too bad. The passenger side fender bracket when positioned per the instructions doesn't line up with the drilled hole in the battery cover. If you slide the bracket over all is good but it's in a slightly different position than the drivers side but it works fine and dandy. I still prefer Redline Tuning's kit. It looks better made especially the fender brackets.

Seriously, try Levittown Ford. They have the GT350R wheel with the bezels for $350. They have the wheel without bezels for $199 but it's been on back order for awhile.

Why is the GT350R wheel cheaper than the GT350? Am I missing something?

That lower price is the direct stock replacement from Ford that a dealer would use to replace a damaged factory wheel. The 350 wheel is a marked up "Performance Part" from Ford Performance meant to sell to the general public as an aftermarket piece. That's where the difference comes from - varying levels of markup.

I got the "R" with the bezels and they look great. I also put the 350 shift knob in, the top of the shift knob matches the color of the "R" bezels. Deff a unique and clean look...

I called my local dealer (so as not to bug Benny at Levittown too much) to inquire about the GT350R wheel without bezels. They told me it would be backordered but expected in around the middle of April. Better than the 90 days I had feared. I already have an order through Levittown Ford. I can wait a little bit longer.

It doesn't bother you that the knob and bezels don't match the other knobs on console (ac/radio vol, etc)? Or is it not that noticeable between the different shades?

Its not that noticeable. They should call it a very light tint. Its still metallic but has a slightly darker tint, it looks gun metal if that makes sense. It doesn't bother me at all... if anything I think it looks good. If you are super anal about it being matchy then yeah it may bother you but if not it looks great. When I first ordered them I was worried that it was going to be way to dark to look right but I think it adds a nice touch with the shift knob.
