I'd say the wires are long enough but I wouldnt put a spacer in there.
Is your wheel adjusted all the way out towards the driver?
Yeah, I have the wheel extended out all of the way. I'm just trying to get a better overall driving position. Trying to figure out a way to extend the wheel a little bit (or move pedals in more, mostly the brake) and also lower the seat. Being tall has its disadvantages.

I may pull my wheel off just to take a look at whats under there.
Thanks for the input.

I am looking for the bezels that come with the Ford Racing GT350R steering wheel kit. If any of you have the darker bezels that you didn't use and want to sell them please shoot me a PM I am interested.

Thank you,

Jaime

Edit: Purchased some today so all set thank you!

Installed my new wheel and now I got an airbag light. Great. Guess I have to make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

I disconnected the battery too, so it's not that.

You didnt push the plugs in all the way until they clicked on the airbag connectors. Easy fix

Well... I guess a spacer (or ghetto washers) won't easily work to pull the wheel out further. The center bolt coming from the column is heavily tapered and the wheel has a "counter tapered" hole for it. I think it'll need to be entirely seated to maintain a proper connection. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
I will probably get one of these cool Gt350 wheels. For any one still not sure about the install, don't worry about it. It took me 5 minutes to take it off, while drinking a beer.

Just noticed the installer didn't swap out the chrome bits

They're going to have to redo it.

About ready to pull the trigger on one, I just hate the leather on the stock wheel and IT gets really hot here in the summers.

My only concern Is I use the buttons on the steering wheel quite a lot, even though the wheel Is for a manual swapping over the paddle shifters and all everything functions as the stock wheel would? I read through quite a few pages but never could find a definite answer.:headbonk:

Everything works as it did with the stock steering wheel, just make sure you remember to plug everything in. The only thing different on the automatic install is you have to remove the black trim on the back of both wheels and swap them, it's very easy just gently pull and the ends of the trim. And obviously switch the paddle shifters over and the entire wiring harness from the stock wheel. The harness on the GT350 wheel is unless for auto owners. One suggestion I have is to remove the stock wheel and bring it inside to warm up (if your in a cold climate) then remove all of the trim. Just to make sure you don't break any clips. Good luck!!

Man these are looking good!

I also have the Alcantara shift boot, e brake boot and center arm rest cover to match the wheel. I hope to get my wheel soon, seeing everyone install theirs is killing me lol.

By any chance does anyone who purchased the Ford racing GT350R Wheel Kit have the darker bezels that came with it lying around and want to sell them? Please PM me if so I am interested.

Thanks,

Jaime
