Looking for something more streetable than stock. Can I run 325/30/19 R. 305/30/19 F? Looks like the Michelin 4s or Conti Extreme Sport will work in those sizes? Thanks
Absolutely. Here are my top 3 picks for street tires for the GT350R:
1) Continental Extreme Contact Sport - Good grip, rear 325's fits similar to Michelin OEM 315's. $310 at TireRack
2) Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - great grip, but not as good as OEM PSC2's, have more "poke" in rear than stock 315's. $250 at PriorityTire
3) Bridgestone Potenza S007A - good grip, have about 1/2-in. poke on rears. $312 at TireRack
Final advice - Be sure to find an installer that uses the Hunter Touchless system so you don't damage your carbon wheels.
Tire poke is a personal preference. Personally I like the look of the OEM PSC2's and Conti's. I'm currently running the Bridgestone's and the look on the rears aren't bad. I was running the Conti's, but they were all sold out the last time I needed tires. For the price and ride quality I really like the Bridgestones, but nothing compares to the grip of the PSC2's, I just can't justify the cost for a tire that only last 6,000 miles and probably won't ever be pushed to its limit on the street (I do keep a spare set for track days tho).
FYI - any tire that has a little bit of poke will kick up a lot more gravel, so you do yourself a favor and and be sure your rock blockers are installed correctly, and I recommend using a good quality protection film on the lower portion of the rear quarter panels.
