Hello all!

Just finished installing the GT350 IM, Blowfish Throttle Body Adapter, Stock GT TB, and JLT Intake. I should have everything connected/capped correctly.

Now, I've actually never had the car's hood popped open while the car was on. I started the car up, and I hear a loud ticking noise. I made sure that all the belts were clear of anything, and don't hear any hissing sounds. Idle doesn't drop to lower than 1200 according to my Ngauge.

I let it idle for about 5 minutes, and I don't smell anything odd. No fuel is leaking, all the connectors are plugged all the way in, and didn't get any check engine codes besides P068A. Car's exhaust smells clean too; no burns, nothing rich, whatever.

When I shut off the car, it turns off normally, but there is a loud whoosh sound in the engine bay; sounds similar to my Foxbody's whistling throttle body when I shut that off.

Did anyone experience this with their install? Did I not torque the manifold down enough? I did the same specs as Ford for their PP3 kit. Car starts up just fine, good fuel pressure, and vacuum (according to the PP gauges) is similar to everyone else's when they've done the install (at around 17).

I haven't driven the car yet (will do as soon as I stop typing) but plan on doing some data logging and sending it back to Lund to make sure everything is working correctly.

First Edit:

I have my first data log. I let the car idle for a little over 2 minute, then began to drive normally. While I did, I noticed my air/fuel ratio sky rocket to 20. I was a little nervous, so I then pressed the clutch in and came to a stop, and then went back to 14 at idle. I didn't have enough space to go from 2500 to 7200 (I think I hit up to 5000) but damn does this thing pull. But again under normal driving my ratio was at 20 and it was scaring me. I stopped the logging there and babied it home. I think I cut the log off early.

Driver's side window was down, and I definitely heard something whistling when pushing the throttle. It could just be the intake, but it was almost a squeaky sound.

When I brought it back and turn it off, definitely smelled like I was burning something, and unfortunately it wasn't rubber.

Second Edit:

Took some shots of the engine bay:

Appreciate everyone taking the time to read this!

is your AFR at 20 when your foot is on the gas or when you let off the gas?

From Lund Sr.:

"Your AFR is fine. When you lift your foot the car goes into Decel Fuel Shutoff which is perfectly normal and the Dash AFR will go to 20."

I was able to do another log, this time up to 6200 and 7000.
This time, there was no burning smell. Drove the car for much longer, and did not notice a thing.

My idle is still a bit high on start up (doesn't get any lower than 1000), but as Terminator2 said, it's because of a vacuum leak. Still trying to find it.
It'll go down to the 700s after driving it and coming to a stop.

Why don't you cap the port on the JLT and then route the vacuum/brake boost as per GT 350 setup, its tidier and functions fine, what I run, have no issues, car drives like stock.

So I should cap the bottom port of the JLT intake and get one house that goes to the brake booster? I'm still using all the original GT setup.

I did not use GT setup as I have GT 350 CAI.

So I wired it up exactly as per a GT 350, runs fine and several others here have done it that way. You just need to cap that hose which runs from the JLT bottom port.

So I guess your GT350 cai came with the proper hoses? I'll have to go to the auto parts store and get them. Also need to find the right sizes.

Edit:

From Jon Lund:

"Cold start the idle will always be around 1000 till it warms up. All the cold start and idle cold are OEM stock. So that is normal.

This is just a few minor changes on fueling ! All else looks good !"

Soon going to do Gibbo205's suggestion; going out to get more hoses and caps!
